StreetBeat – Jan. 25 – Man Critically Injured In Brampton Shooting

A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life after he was reportedly shot at a Brampton home this weekend.

Officers were called to a house on Mordon Court, in the Queen and Rutherford area, just before 11pm Sunday.

Witnesses in the area claim one person at that address had been shot and taken to hospital.


Toronto Police Investigating Series Of Alleged Sex Assaults

Toronto Police are investigating several alleged sexual assaults and they need your help.

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly attacked on Tuesday, January 19.

Police believe that the teen was dragged into a laneway near Symington Avenue and Davenport Road, then sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as:
  • white
  • 5’10"
  • 180-200 lbs
  • 35-45
  • facial stubble
  • brown/grey hair with a receding hairline
  • The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-brown winter jacket, dark-blue jeans and black boots.

The next day, officers were called to Burlington Street and Stanley Avenue around 4pm.

A man allegedly drove by two 13-year-old girls and exposed himself on Wednesday, January 20. He was still behind the wheel at the time. He then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as:
  • white, tan complexion
  • 40-45
  • chubby build
  • black or dark-brown hair, possibly balding on top
  • He was last seen wearing dark jogging pants and sunglasses.

The vehicle is described as a silver/grey, four-door car.

Later in the week, a 12-year-old girl was walking with her mother on Galt Avenue, just south of Gerrard Street.

The child was allegedly approached from behind and assaulted. The suspect fled north on Galt Avenue.

The alleged assault happened on Sunday, January 24 around 6:15pm.

The suspect is described as:
  • 5’4" to 5’5"
  • slim build.
  • The person was last seen wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and dark-coloured pants.
