New Photos Released Of Mississauga Arson Suspect

Police have released new photos of a suspected arsonist in the hopes it will help in their search for him.

On Friday, Peel Police obtained an arrest warrant for 42-year-old Mikhail Khavkine related to a fire in a Mississauga office building on Wednesday afternoon that caused an estimated $5 million in damage.

The blaze broke out on the third floor of the Erindale Corporate Centre outside the office of MP Bob Dechert.

Crews safely evacuated 250 employees and there were no serious injuries reported.

Khavkine is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 200 lbs, with a heavy build. He may be driving a white, four-door 1991 Mercury Sable.
