Detectives are probing the city’s latest murder - a man fatally shot on Jane Street near Trethewey over the weekend.

The 30-year-old was found just after 11pm Sunday with two gunshot wounds on the side porch of a house. The victim, identified as Glenn Lowe, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatal shooting marks the city's sixth homicide of 2010.

“It appears that Mr. Lowe had an altercation at the rear door of that address and there was some type of altercation and he was shot,” confirmed Homicide Squad Det. Sgt. Dan Sheppard.

Investigators are still trying to track down a weapon and suspects but have put forth a possible motive in the case, noting a marijuana grow-op was allegedly found inside the address where Lowe was shot.

If you have any information that could help, call the Homicide Squad at (416) 808-7814 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS.
