Thieves Drive Away With ATM After Crashing Into Convention Centre

Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly drove through the glass doors of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and made off with an ATM machine located inside.

It happened shortly before 5am Saturday at the building on Front Street West, west of John. There are reports there was as much as $100,000 in the machine, which had just been restocked.

Police tracked down the vehicle used in the theft, but the men responsible are still at large.

They are described as:
  • White, with a medium build and wearing dark clothing and a ski mask
  • White, with a medium to large build and wearing dark clothing

The auto show has been taking place in the building since February 12 and ends Sunday.
