Discovery Of Spiked Beef Tongue Worries Dog Owners

Midtown dog owners are worried someone is targeting their beloved pets with spiked beef tongue.  

Lola, a Lab-Shepard mix, found a beef tongue pierced with landscaping nails near the off-leash area in Cedarvale Ravine Sunday morning. She started chewing on it before her horrified owner pulled it out of her mouth, fearful it was yet another attempt to harm or poison dogs.

Just last week pills were found scattered in Allen Gardens and in the backyards of pet owners near Lakeshore and 6th street.

But some dog owners are skeptical the spiked tongue was left for their pets.
