Months after the shocking raid at the Toronto Humane Society authorities have charged another person with animal cruelty.
Vijay Kumar, a one-time supervisor at the River Street shelter, reportedly turned himself into authorities Saturday. He left his position at the THS last March, according to a published report.
Five senior managers were charged with animal cruelty and other offences following a raid last November, including former president Tim Trow. The shelter’s board of directors was also charged.
The additional arrest comes as the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) continues its investigation at 11 River St.
Kumar is charged with two counts of animal cruelty and is due in court April 27.
