A man has been rushed to hospital after he was pulled underwater during a canoeing trip north of the city.

Emergency crews arrived at the Mabel Davis Conservation Area (pictured), near Davis Drive and Bayview Parkway, around 1:30pm. But they had some difficulty rescuing the man because of the undertow.

Police say the victim was canoeing close to a waterfall when he fell in the water.

Emergency Rescue At Bluffer's Park

Emergency crews have been called to the Scarborough Bluffs following reports a body was discovered on scene.

Fire fighters, paramedics and police are investigating just east of Bluffer's Park.
