After a violent afternoon downtown, unrest on the streets continued into Saturday night with confrontations between police and protesters.

A large march made its way down Yonge Street around 8:30pm and eventually snaked down to the financial district and to the security fence where hundreds of riot police dispersed the crowds.

Meanwhile, workers were busy boarding up several businesses in and around the financial district after a day of vandalism and violence.

And groups of protesters and curious spectators gathered on Queen Street West between Spadina and Bathurst around 11pm. Riot police and mounted officers charged the crowds several times before turning around and heading back east along Queen.
