Four boys in and around the GTA have died over the past week in drowning incidents.

The latest case involved a 13-year-old Bradford boy who taken out of his family’s pool without vital signs just before 9pm Tuesday. He was rushed to a Newmarket hospital where doctors were unable to revive him.

Two 14-year-old boys died after they ran into trouble in the deep end of an unsupervised pool at a Scarborough apartment building on Thunder Grove last Wednesday. One of the teens, Deep Engineer, was pronounced dead in hospital. The second boy, Michael Lee, was put on life support and passed away two days later.

Last Saturday, a 12-year-old New York boy died in hospital a day after he was pulled out of the pool at the Don Valley Hotel. He was in Toronto for a soccer tournament.

And a 21-year-old man – a tourist from Korea – is in stable condition after he was pulled out of the same pool Tuesday night.
