A cold snap that's kept Toronto under a deep freeze for much of the weekend showed no signs of slowing down Sunday.
We're still under an extreme cold weather alert issued by the city, with temperatures that will feel like minus 20 with the wind chill.
And though it's not a biting breeze, or anything that would warrant an Environment Canada alert, it still packs a shivery punch.
The high of -10C will feel about 10 degrees colder because of those winds.
By Monday, it will still be -9C and feeling a lot worse. In fact, it won't be until Wednesday that we'll finally get some relief, when the mercury recovers to -3C.

If you don't need to be outside, don't go - but for those with nowhere else to turn, the city has opened up extra shelter spaces.
If you spot someone in distress on the streets, call 1-866-392-3777. The line is open 24 hours a day and is free from any pay phone.
And if your plans for the day do involve heading out into the freeze, bundle up - not only are multiple layers necessary to stay warm, you'll also need sunglasses.
While they might go better with a bikini, they're practically required with a parka.
Here's some other required wear this time of year:
- Two pairs of socks
- Waterproof boots, above ankle height which are 1/2 size larger than your normal shoe size
- Thermal long underwear, top and bottom set
- Heavy sweatshirt that is tight fitting around neck and wrists
- Heavy material ski cap that pulls down tight over your ears and doesn't have loose knitting
- Heavy ski gloves or 1 pair of thin cloth gloves and another slightly larger pair that will fit over the thin ones
- Heavy wool scarf
- Overcoat that is long enough to cover your hips and closes up all the way up to your neck, ideally with tight fitting wrists and hood
