The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is expanding last week's warning about some ready-to-eat meats to include more products and best before dates.
The agency and Montreal's Dats Deli European are warning the public to avoid ready-to-eat meat products under the Dat's Deli Europeen, Les Caprices d'Al Adhba, Le Biftheque and Les Viandes Soleil brands.
More information on the recall here.
Dats Deli Europeen is voluntarily recalling the products _ which include old-fashioned smoked meat, all beef salami, roast pork, liverwurst sausage and smoked turkey _ because they may be contaminated with Listeria.
The recalled products are sold in various sizes, are both sliced and unsliced, bear Establishment number 155 and have best before dates up to and including September 3, 2010.
These affected products are known to have been distributed in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia and may have been distributed nationally.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with these products, which may also have been sold to consumers at deli counters.
***The CFIA is also warning consumers that Freybe brand Ham Suelze may also be contaminated with listeria. Click here for more information on that warning and recall.
