Toronto Police have arrested an international fugitive who allegedly fled to Canada in 2003 after a fatal beating in South Wales.

Mohamud Mahad, also known as Kalid Sharif, was apprehended on Tuesday by members of the Toronto Police Service Fugitive Squad and Canada Border Service Agency.

Police allege he was involved in an altercation involving a group of men in 2003, and was seen beating an individual, who later died.

Police further contend that he fled the U.K. for Canada.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, July 29th.
