Update: On Tuesday, August 3, the missing teen returned home in good health. She has been cooperating with police.
Alexander Gildon Takacs surrendered to police in Brampton and has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, August 4.
Detectives from Peel’s Special Victims Unit are looking for a Brampton teen who went missing after going out to meet an American man wanted for sexual assault.
The 15-year-old left home on Sunday and was reported missing after her family learned she had planned to meet a 21-year-old Connecticut man, Alexander Gildon Takacs, at a local hotel. But when police checked all area hotels, there was no sign of either person.
Takacs is wanted for sexual assault and sexual interference and police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest. He is Asian, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 lbs., with a thin build.

Four Hurt In Dundas West Shooting
Police said three men and a woman were wounded in a shooting on Dundas Street West at Bathurst early Friday.
The shooting happened at an apparent after-hours club around 5am.
Detectives are still looking for a weapon and a suspect. None of the injuries are considered to be life-threatening.

Police Searching For Missing Teen
York Regional Police are looking for a missing teenager and they need your help.
Anoush Verdi, 18, was last seen around 7pm on July 13. He left his home near Bur Oak Avenue and Ninth Line in Markham after a fight with his family.
Verdi (pictured below) is described as:
- male
- South Asian
- 6'
- 240 lbs.
- heavy build
- short black hair
- brown eye
- Last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue shorts, blue shoes, glasses and carrying a beige JanSport bag
