They say lightning doesn't strike twice, but for the second time this month a car has crashed into the same Etobicoke home.
Around 1am Saturday, a car barrelled over a curb and crashed through the bedroom window of a house at
42 Kingslea Drive South near Royal York Road and Bloor Street West.
S. Sgt. William Hurley of 22 Division described what happened.
"The vehicle landed on the occupants' bed. Luckily, no one was at home at the time. Alcohol was definitely a factor. The driver was arrested, charged with impaired driving."
The house has sat empty with the window boarded up since February 2nd, when an older driver lost control and ended up in the middle of the living room.
"Sixty per cent don't stop at the stop sign. And that sign has been taken out three times by a truck or a car," revealed neighbour Mark Harris.
Local councillor Peter Milczyn has put in a call in to city works and hopes to have a temporary barrier up in a few days and a permanent one up by spring.
"We are going to put in posts or some kind of a barrier or a low wall or boulders."
The west-end homeowner revealed that everything recovered from the first crash was being stored in the bedroom which, of course, was totalled in the most recent incident.
