Toronto police are investigating after a teen was struck and killed by a TTC bus late Friday night on the Lakeshore.

Investigators say the bus was headed eastbound on the Lakeshore at Woodbine Ave. around 10pm. Three pedestrians tried to cross the street while the bus was headed for a crosswalk at a green light.

Two turned back, but one of them was hit. The victim became trapped under the bus.

He was pronounced dead at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Police were reportedly already on the scene to break up a party with several hundred people happening at Woodbine Beach.

Police haven’t released the victim’s name as of yet. Anyone who witnessed the crash or with any information is asked to contact (416) 808-1900 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS (8477).
