Firefighters knocked down a large blaze at a Markham home that was apparently under construction.
The flames erupted at the house at Brimley and Lee Avenues around 7am Thursday. There were reportedly no people inside the home when the flames broke out.
There's no word yet on the cause or a damage estimate.

A Toronto man found dead following a fire in St. Thomas was killed before the blaze began, police say.
Investigators found the body of Jason David Farro, 40, on August 29. Farro was a stand-up comic with four children who was in the city visiting friends.
The cause of death was blunt force trauma, not the fire.
No arrests have been made and police are not commenting on possible suspects.

Man Arrested In Connection With Pacific Mall Murder
A mant has been arrested in connection with a murder at Pacific Mall.
Chun Kit "Daniel" Cheong, 26, was fatally shot in the head on February 20, 2009. He was an employee of the XSITE Cell Phone store.
Over a year and a half later, a suspect was arrested in London, Ontario. London Police took the suspect into custody on Wednesday.
Bryan Valentine Gardner, 21, has been charged with first-degree murder.

Police Searching For Missing Boy
York Regional Police are looking for a missing boy and they need your help.
Danny Luo, 13, was last seen on August 31. He left his home on Isabella Street around 10am. He has a medical condition, and no access to money or a vehicle.
His family says Danny (pictured below) loves shopping malls, is an avid fan of public transportation and frequently rides the TTC.
Danny is described as:

- 120 lbs
- medium build
- brown eyes
- short black hair
- wearing glasses, black running shoes with white soles

Man Charged With Internet Luring

Police have arrested a 48-year-old Toronto man for using the internet to make inappropriate contact with a child.
Members of the child exploitation unit say they found evidence John Thomas McBride had communicated with a youth via the internet and text messaging.
On Wednesday, after carrying out an undercover operation, detectives raided his property, arrested him and charged him with luring a child under 16 and attempting an invitation to sexual touching.
McBride used the email address firerangerca@yahoo.com and the user names ‘firerangerca’ and ‘jmcbride.’
He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
