Police Seek Shooting Suspect

The OPP have arrested a man in connection with a nearly two-year-old murder case.

Charles Agbajoh was killed on November 2, 2008 but his body wasn’t found until months later. Police made the discovery on April 19, 2009, in the Hagersvilel area.

Elyton Brandon Guy (pictured), 24, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Just days before his death, Peel Police issued an arrest warrant for Agbajoh. He was wanted in connection to a drug-related shooting and robbery that allegedly occurred on November 2.

Officers say Agbajoh and a 31-year-old man met up to conduct a drug deal that afternoon. Agbajoh allegedly pulled a gun, shot the other man in the leg and robbed him of his cash.

Update September 8: The OPP arrested a second man. Verdel Powell, 24, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
