A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a Peel police cruiser in Brampton Friday night.
It happened around 8:30pm at Hurontario Street and Fisherman Drive, just south of Sandalwood Parkway.
The victim was transported to a Toronto trauma centre in critical condition.
Police are saying that the motorcyclist was at fault in the crash, and that speed was a determining factor.
The province’s Special Investigations Unit has taken over the case.
The SIU is an arm's length agency which investigates incidents involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
