Cooler Than Normal Temperatures Continue For Chilly July

For many folks who had dreams of suntanning and swimming this Labour Day weekend, it seems Mother Nature has other ideas.

According to Environment Canada, Saturday’s high is only a mild 20C with rain in the forecast. Sunday and Monday will only be slightly better with expected highs of 12C and 24C respectively, with showers predicted both days.

High winds have forced the cancellation of Saturday’s CNE air show. Officials say the blustery conditions make it difficult for the marine unit to properly respond, should there be an emergency situation.

Shows remain scheduled for Sunday and Monday.

There’s plenty going on in and around the city to keep you entertained.

The CNE is winding down. Indulge in the final few days of junk food and carnival rides for this year.

If you don’t mind getting messy, the city of Burlington is holding their RibFest this weekend. Nothing says summer like firing up the BBQ.

If you're a sports enthusiast, Toronto FC will be hosting FC Dallas down at BMO Field Saturday at 8:30pm.

And of course, OPSEU’s annual Labour Day parade will hit the streets Monday morning bright and early, starting at 8:30am.
