An elderly driver has died after a multi-vehicle crash in Burlington early Tuesday morning.
Halton police said just before 7:30am, the man was driving southbound on Appleby Line near Dryden Avenue when it appears he had a medical problem. He then crossed into the northbound lanes, crashed into a concrete wall, ricocheted back into the southbound lanes and hit a utility truck. At that point, his vehicle flipped on its roof and slid into the rear of a school bus.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, but no one else was injured, including three students on the bus.
Appleby Line was closed for several hours for the investigation.
