Crowds Line Highway Of Heroes As Fallen Soldier Heads Home

Crowds of people gathered for an emotional tribute along the highway of heroes as another fallen Canadian soldier made the journey home.

The body of Corporal Tyler Crooks was escorted from Toronto to his hometown of Port Colborne Saturday afternoon as supporters looked on.

Crooks and Master Corporal Scott Vernelli were killed in an explosion in the Zhari district of Afghanistan on March 20th. Two other soldiers, Trooper Jack Bouthillier and Trooper Corey Joseph Hayes, died on the same day in a separate blast.

Crooks' funeral will take place next week.
