Canada-Wide Warrant issued For York Region Murder Suspect

York Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant in connection with the murder of a Toronto man in Vaughan last week.

Police are on the hunt for Mohand Mohamed, 31. He is facing a charge of first-degree murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.

On Friday January 21, emergency crews were called to the Paradise Banquet Hall at 7601 Jane Street around 11:15pm.

There, they discovered Arash Elijah Bakhtaryani, 27, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to hospital, but later died of his injuries.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mohamed is asked to call police at 1-866-876-5423 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS (8477).
