Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak will answer for a disappointing election campaign many believed would see the party return to power after eight years in Opposition.

About 1,600 Tory delegates gathered in Niagara Falls for a party convention will vote Saturday on whether to keep Hudak as their leader or find a new one.

Hudak has taken a lot of the blame and said he knows what went wrong last fall.

His campaign talked about what Premier Dalton McGuinty was doing wrong, he said. Perhaps too much.

"I didn't tell you enough about what Tim Hudak and the PCs are going to do right," he said. "And a big focus of this convention is that positive Conservative alternative is going to fix the jobs crisis and fix the debt crisis."
