Cynthia Mulligan has been bringing Toronto audiences their local news for over two decades as part of the CityNews team. Cynthia reports the stories that viewers need to know, covering the latest headlines from in and around the city including high profile events like G8/G20. On a personal level, Cynthia has been sharing her fight with breast cancer in her widely read blog “Kicking Cancer” on CityNews.ca.

After graduating from McMaster University with an Honours degree in English, Cynthia began her career in the Citytv library and worked briefly as a news writer at Breakfast Television before moving to the CityNews team. With her hands on approach to her craft, Cynthia worked as a camera person, videographer and reporter throughout her career.

Off the air Cynthia is active in her community dedicating her time to various causes and charities including the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, participating in the Run for the Cure and keeping up with her two beautiful daughters.
