Kathryn Humphreys
Sports Specialist, "CityNews at Six", "CityNews Tonight"
CityNews is Toronto News. All Day, Every Day, the City is our Newsroom. Intensely-local and urban-oriented, we focus on the 'Day in the Life' realities of people's lives with a visual realism that speaks directly to those that call Toronto home. CityNews is seen daily at Six and 11:00pm on Citytv. CityNews... What Toronto is Talking About Today.
Kathryn began her broadcasting career as an intern in the sports department at 680News in Toronto and WBZ TV in Boston. She returned to cottage country to work at The Moose 100.9FM in Bracebridge, reporting news, sports and weather. She joined "CityNews Weekend" in March, 1997 and moved over to "CityNews Tonight" in April, 1998.
Kathryn definitely lives the life of a Sports Specialist. She grew up loving the game of hockey (her father owns the Oshawa Generals) and played basketball, volleyball and even football while sitting on Victoria College's Athletic Executive Board during university.
Kathryn is an active supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society. She loves animals, is a compulsive jogger and plays almost every sport -- except curling.

"I don't like the term journalist ... too stuffy. I prefer to think of myself as a story-teller."
