Andrea Piunno

Windsor native Andrea Piunno, began her career with Citytv in 2007, making her dream of working in Toronto a reality. Some of her more memorable moments at Citytv consist of her coverage on the Woodbridge/Maple Tornado story, saying it “was a once in a lifetime opportunity, that was both humbling and surreal.” Other highlights include meeting A-list celebrities, reporting during the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival, and her interviews with Matt Damon, George Clooney, Ed Norton, Penelope Cruz, Oprah and Mariah Carey.

Andrea studied Radio and Television at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Southfield, Michigan before earning a diploma in Journalism and New Media from St. Clair College in 2002. Prior to Citytv, Andrea began her career at A-Channel Windsor in 2002 working behind-the-scenes before landing a job as a videographer. After nearly four years in Windsor she headed north to the nation's capital and took a job with A-Channel Ottawa.

During her spare time, Andrea loves being outside and enjoys spending time camping, fishing, hiking and canoeing. When she's not braving the great outdoors, Andrea can be found curled up with a good book and a cup of tea or honing her culinary skills.
