Als Beat Argos In Overtime

When kicker Damon Duval was ejected from Thursday night's game against the Toronto Argonauts, the Montreal Alouettes were likely hoping they wouldn't have to rely on a rusty sub to try and boot in the winning points.  In the end, however, that's exactly what happened when slotback Ben Cahoon kicked a winning 22-yard field goal in overtime to help the Als complete a home-and-home sweep with a 29-27 win.

Duval was tossed from the game after he and and Toronto cornerback Byron Parker exchanged punches.

Jarrett Payton, Ashlan Davis and Chip Cox all scored touchdowns for the Alouettes (3-3), who won for the first time in three home games this season at Percival Molson Stadium.

Argos kicker Noel Prefontaine had a chance to tie things up in overtime, but missed an attempt from 42 yards.

Dominique Dorsey tied a league record with a 129-yard missed field goal return for a touchdown at 6:39 of the fourth quarter.   Obed Cetoute and Andre Durie also scored touchdowns in regulation for the Argos.

Damon Allen made his first start since Toronto's opener, but was forced to leave the game midway through the second quarter with a sore toe.

He was replaced by Rocky Butler, who had four passes intercepted.
