CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -- Vancouver striker Camilo opened the scoring and the Whitecaps held on for a 1-1 pre-season draw with the Seattle Sounders in Major League Soccer pre-season action Monday.
Camilo scored 35 seconds into the game after being set up by fellow striker Atiba Harris.
Seattle tied the game early in the second half. After a Whitecaps turnover, David Estrada set up Servando Carrasco, who beat Vancouver goaltender Brad Knighton in the 48th minute.
The Whitecaps appeared to go ahead in the 88th minute when Omar Salgado's shot deflected off Floyd Franks and into the Seattle net. However, Franks was in an offside position and the goal was called back.
It was the first exhibition match of the season for the Whitecaps, who are training in Arizona prior to the MLS season.
