STRATFORD, Ont. -- Glenn Howard remains perfect heading into the next round of the Dominion Tankard Ontario men's curling championship.

Howard scored three in the fifth end and never looked back en route to a 7-3 win over Mike Anderson of Thornhill in the last draw Friday.

Howard finished round-robin play at 10-0 and will play Brampton's Peter Corner in the Page 1-2 playoff Saturday.

Howard's rink representing the Coldwater & District Curling Club is playing for its seventh straight Tankard title.

Corner improved to 8-2 with a 10-5 win over Loonie's Greg Balsdon.

Meanwhile, two tiebreakers will be needed after three teams finished 5-5.

Woodstock's Wayne Tuck Jr. will play Rideau's Bryan Cochrane, with the winner facing Brampton's Dayna Deruelle in the second tiebreaker.

The winner of that match takes on Anderson in the Page 3-4 playoff.

Anderson put himself ahead of the pack with an 8-7 win over Harriston's Jake Higgs to improve to 6-4 in the early draw.

Tuck slipped into the tiebreaker with an 11-6 win over Ajax's Mike Kean.

Deruelle moved on with an 8-6 win over Higgs in the late draw, and Cochrane advanced after hammering Listowel's Daryl Shane 7-2.
