With the G20 summit just over a week away, some of the biggest attendees have already arrived.
A man wearing a giant replica of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s head was part of a protest through the financial district Thursday to oppose the G8 and G20’s $1 billion dollar price tag.
The protest, just a small dose of what the city can expect of the summit, was put on by Oxfam and several other groups.
One demonstration scheduled for Friday the 25th encourages people to "walk out" of their homes, schools and places of work to rally at Allan gardens and help build a tent city there. Organizers expect the turnout to be in the thousands.
One publication, “The Peak” magazine is dishing out tips for protesters on how to stir up trouble with advice on how to break through a police barricade.
The summit kicks of June 24 in Huntsville.
