Well, it took more than three months, but on Monday, the winners of the CityNews “Guess and Win” snow contest were officially announced.

It became an increasingly tough task, guessing the first day Toronto would see a snowfall of at least 5 cm.

The contest received 3,700 entries, with 40 people picking the correct date of Feb. 18

Here are the winners and the prizes they will take home:

• Earl Murrin won a one-night stay at the Pantages Hotel.

• George McGaffey won a one-night stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

• Penny Bland won dinner for two at Eight Wine Bar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

• Fanny Barnuevo won boots for a family of four from Ecco Shoes.
