RCMP Need Your Help In Finding 2001 Missing Man
SURREY -- Surrey RCMP need your help in a missing person investigation.

Brian Andrew Toma was reported missing by his sister on September 14, 2001. She had last seen him on August 3, 2001. Brian Toma would be 54-years-old at the time.

When Mr. Toma disappeared, he had made arrangements for mail to be sent to his sister's address, as he did not have a permanent address himself. Toma never returned to his sister’s house to collect the mail. Toma has been known to disappear in the past and break ties with family members. In addition to his sister who lives in Surrey, Toma has an identical twin brother who lives on Vancouver Island. Brian Toma has had no contact with his brother for some time, even before his disappearance in 2001.

Tom has worked various manual labour jobs, including landscaping and maintenance. He has only been known to have lived and worked outside the Lower Mainland in the 1970's when he went to Whitehorse. He had lived sporadically in the South Surrey and White Rock area prior to 2001.

At the time of his disappearance,  Brian Toma was described as being depressed and possibly suicidal.

Brian Toma is described as a Caucasian male, 168 cm or 5'6" tall, approx. 68 kg or 150 lbs, brown hair, green eyes and missing some upper teeth. Unfortunately, Toma's dental records have been lost in a flood, and it is believed that his upper dentures were missing as of 2001.

Anyone with information about Brian TOMA is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-Tips.
