Whitecaps Stadium Public Hearing
VANCOUVER -- A decision on whether or not the new Whitecaps stadium will be built is expected soon. The issue goes before city council Monday night.

It will be day four of a public hearing on the proposal to build the stadium above the rail tracks, next to Waterfront Station. The cost of the 15-thousand seat stadium is estimated at 65-million dollars. Supporters say it would bring more business to the area.  But, opponents are worried about increased noise, traffic congestion and blocked views. Council is scheduled to vote on the application Tuesday.

The hearing will begin at 7pm at Vancouver City Hall.
