Search On For Robbery Suspect
West Van Police Investigate Robbery And Confinement Of Resident.

WEST VANCOUVER -- West Vancouver Police are searching for a suspect wanted for robbing and tying a woman up in her West Vancouver home. 

It happened on June 5th in the 3800 block of Marine Drive. The resident heard a noise coming from inside her home. The suspect allegedly threatened the homeowner and tied her up before he left with her car and some money. She managed to untie herself and contacted police.

West Van Police think the suspect may have used public transportation to get to Vancouver that evening, where police say the suspect or an acquaintance of his is believed to have made a 911 call from the 1200 block of Robson Street in Vancouver telling the police where the woman was tied up.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • Approximately 20-30 years old 
  • 6 ft tall (183 cm)
  • Thin build
  • Sandy coloured hair
  • Clean shaven
  • Wearing a dark blue kangaroo jacket with three white stripes on sleeves, blue jeans, white runners carrying and a dark backpack
