It was Dawn's singing career that jump-started her career in Television - with a high profile as one of Edmonton's top Jazz singers, and numerous televised performances, it was only a matter of time before Dawn was catapulted into the world of Television.
Told during her final interview that "Everything is trainable except personality", She was offered a Weather and Traffic position on the Big Breakfast and News at Noon, and later becoming the main weather presenter on the A-Channel's 6 o'clock News and News at Night only a few years later.
After moving to Vancouver with her husband in 2004, Dawn was able to add "Actress" to her list of accomplishments, landing numerous Principal roles in Film, Television and Commercials. It wasn't long before she was able to return to her passion of morning TV on Breakfast Television. Dawn also hosts Realty Television on Citytv and continues to work in the film and television industry in Vancouver on such movies and series as Fantastic Four 2, Dead Zone and the 4400.
Dawn loves living on the West Coast, "it may rain a lot, but it's not minus 40!" and looks forward to many years waking viewers up with a little sunshine and personality!
