Mark began his journalism career as a reporter for KSB in Nelson, BC. Before joining the CKVU news team in 2001, he was a play-by-play announcer for SportsNet. In 2004, the BC Association of Broadcasters named Mark its Broadcaster of Tomorrow. Well-rounded. Mark's assorted roles prove his success. As a wildfire-fighter, father, founder of a biomedical waste company and musician, he's made his multiple talents obvious.

An unabashed thrill-seeker, Mark is an avid snowboarder who spent 4 years as a professional firefighter.
