Diverse. As with her current role at Citytv (she's also the Director of Public Affairs and and Multicultural Programming), Prem's career covers a lot of ground. She began as a volunteer and host of Youth Raap on Radio Rim Jhim - Vancouver's first South Asian radio station. After working in communications and public relations, she became a full-time documentary and corporate video producer, creating a 4-part series on the history of Sikh women in BC and a 6-part series entitled Safer Streets, Safer Cities. She's a founding member of the Coalition of South Asian Women Against Violence and co-editor of Canada's first South Asian arts magazine, Rungh.

A female Ralph Nader: a consumer advocate creating a fair and equitable world. Prem was reading Consumer Reports religiously be the time she reached 5th grade.
Little known facts:
Prem is a transplant recipient. Her left eye benefited from a corneal transplant.
