WINNIPEG Change City

Drew Kozub

Remote Host, Breakfast Television

Follow Drew as he explores the finest Winnipeg and surrounding area has to offer!

Drew grew up in Riverton, Manitoba, where as a kid, he had a variety of jobs from rock picker to horse trainer, to fiddle teacher. Upon realizing few people make a career out of either of these professions, he moved to the city and pursued a degree in communications.

After graduating, Drew started his career working for radio at stations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan but eventually returned to Winnipeg because “Rider Green” did not compliment his Blue and Gold wardrobe.

Once back home in Winnipeg, Drew ventured into marketing and television production, co-creating a web-based music series. Because of his rural roots (so he says) Drew was convinced that he was just not waking up early enough in the morning, so he signed on with Citytv Winnipeg’s Breakfast Television as Remote Host. Now, Drew searches out and introduces BT viewers to interesting and unique people, places, things and events happening  in our community.

Outside of work, Drew keeps busy playing fiddle, guitar and singing in a variety of bands with genres spanning country, pop-punk and polka. He likes heading out to Riverton to visit his horse, Blue, and in the summer he will often be found hosting a tournament of either ladder ball or croquet in his backyard while cooking on the BBQ. Currently, Drew is trying to get his first novel published; a scary kid’s book about a killer photo album, but apparently frightening small children is not something most publishers like to do.
