Host, Breakfast Television
Terri grew up on a farm in Preeceville, Saskatchewan and was the youngest of three for 15 years... then her folks added two more to the brood bumping her up to middle child.
Terri had a passion for performing from a young age and was awarded the provincial title for speech arts in 1995 and 1996.
After high school Terri spent a year touring Canada and the States as part of a musical revue.
Education:
Terri attended theatre school in Alberta and spent a number or years touring and performing before settling in Winnipeg. She wanted to put down roots, so she went back to school at the Academy of Broadcasting. Still a performer, Terri landed acting roles in made for TV movies and the Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez feature Shall We Dance that was shot in Winnipeg.
Experience:
After graduating from ABC she spent the next six months working at 92 CITI FM and the former KY58 before being scooped up as the co-host with Don Percy on 1290 CFRW. She spent three years working with Don and though she wanted a bit of a change…which is how Terri ended up here, co-hosting Breakfast Television.
Extracurricular:
erri likes to spend some of her spare time with her two dogs, and is expecting her first child later this year.
What I like about my job:
Even though she starts early, it’s not as early as her radio job was so she actually gets to sleep in. Terri also enjoys the opportunity to meet so many fascinating Manitobans and she says getting to sample food from all the cooking segments is a nice perk too.
