Show Description:
In 1987 John Walsh, a victim of violent crime, approached Fox with an idea of a reality based program to track down the country's most notorious and dangerous fugitives by profiling their cases to a national audience. Using AMW as his vehicle for justice, John could now bring to other victims of violent crime the closure he never found.
America's Most Wanted, with the help of it's audience, has been able to put away over 800 violent criminals.
